ITEM I Re: Flood Plain Policies

Discussion on the existing and proposed G.V.R.D. Flood Plain
Policies were discussed at the meeting of Tuesday, February 27th, 1973,
The Committee reviewed submissions by Public Works, Planning & Zoning
and the Environmental Sub-Committee and endorse their recommendations,
however we do emphasize the retention of the Industrial Area as outl-ned
in the Official Regional Plan. We are of the opinion that as the soils
make-up is generally in the Group 3 and 4 category, it has limited

agricultural potential and is not suited for recreational development.
