April Alderman Wright suggested that the Planning and Zoning Committee review the zoning for gas stations and create a separate zone for self- service gas stations and Mayor Laking suggested he bring it before the Planning and Zoning Committee. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: The City Clerk advised that the proposed draft Regional Plan was LMRP ~ Lougheed/ Dominion Tri- available for further consideration by Council and that Mrs. Kathleen angle. Muldoon had requested permission to address the Council. His Worship Mayor G.R. Laking then apologized for his part in the proceedings when this matter had been discussed at the regular Council meeting held on April 14th, 1980. He chen stated that if Council permits further public discussion this evening only one person will be allowed to address Council at a time and there will be no discussion permitted between the speaker on the floor and the gallery. Alderman Traboulay stated in his opinion only Mrs. K. Muldoon should be allowed to address the Council as hers was the only name appearing on the Agenda. Alderman Keryluk stated everyone who wished to address Councll should be permitted to speak and to this Alderman Wright concurred. Moved by Alderman Keryluk: Seconded by Alderman Mabbett: That members of the gallery who wished to address Couneil be allowed to speak once only. Mrs. K. Muldoon, 346 Laurier Avenue, then addressed Council regarding the petition she submitted to the Greater Vancouver Regional District with 86 signatures of people opposed to redesignating the triangle of Dominion/Lougheed/ Freemont/Pite River from Agricultural to Industrial. She stated that the area should definitely remain Agricultural as dt was productive furm Land. Mrs. C. Van Schagen, 750 Dominfon Avenue, stated the only way they can operate their cattle farm in the area ia beeause they also farm tn another municipality. Mra. dD. Grant, 2420 Burns Road, expressed concern that they were not mide aware of the Public meeting held by the Greater Vancouver Regional District on the trlangle.
