RECOMMENDATION:

THAT the Kilmer Residence Heritage Restoration report as
prepared by Toby, Russell, Buckwell & Partners be received;

AND THAT the Municipal Council give the Committee further
direction.

Background and Comments:

The report by Toby Russell Buckwell identifies each interior
Space, provides a deseription of the renovations and related costs for
each space by way of Architectural components i.e. floor, base wall,
ceiling, doors, windows, millwork; structural components as required.

Estimated cost of construction $227,000.00*%

Professional services (design

detail), construction documentation

and construction administration). $ 21,500.00
$248,500.09

Total cost say $250,000.00

*This figure includes a contingency of 8%-9%

If Kilmer Residence Heritage Restoration Report.

The City Treasurer has advised that two grants are available
towards the cost of the project:

I B.C. Heritage Trust - grants are available on a 50/50 basis
to a maximum of $50,000.00 for "exterior renovsations” only.

B.C. Lottery Fund = grants are available for up to 1/3 of
the cost of the total project.
