"RECOMMENDATION:

Loe That. “the Vari lety Club be requested “to relocate ‘their
‘paper recycling bin from the No. 1 Firehall. parking lot to the. °
gravel parking lot for commuters at Maple Drive and Kingsway.

BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:

cate “The Fire. Chief reported that this ..bin creates
problems at the. Firehall it interferes with exercises that
are done in the parking fot and one of the Firemen has
complained of damage to his parked vehicle. assuming it was done...
“by someone dropping off paper. There have been fires started

oa The Committee considered alternate locations for the
‘bin’ ineluding™ ‘the Rec Center parking lot and the commuter
parking Jot on» Maple Drive. -It owas felt that the..commuter
parking lot would. cause the least interference to the pubiic.
This spot is also reasonably in the open and visible froma.

reduced. It was pointed out that some of the regular customers
“may show up at the old site and not be aware that it has been
‘Falocated. it’ was suggested that the Variety Club could puta.
sign at the former location indicating the new location of the

; There will be considerable activity around this
parking. tot when the Kingsway Bridge reconstruction takes
“place. For that reason, it is recommended that the paper bin
be installed on the south side of the Maple Drive parking lot.
