The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam -2- 2.0 SCOPE OF SERVICES Associated Engineering understands the required tasks to complete the project are as follows: .1 Determine the 10 year return period high water level and duration on the Coquitlam River at Maple Creek. .2 Utilizing the Microcomputer Interactive Design cf Urban Jtorm Water Systems (MIDUSS), determine the runoff volume generated by the Maple Creek catchment area. This includes modeliing existing pipes and open channels within the catchment area. Determine the storage volume available within Maple Creek under existing and fully developed conditions, and also determine the storage volume/discharge relationship of flow into the Coquitlam River. Determine the pumping and/or storage requirements at Maple Creek under existing and fully developed conditions. Determine any deficiencies in the existing storm sewer network system and provide recommendations for their improvement. Prepare a report inciuding conclusions and recommendations on pumping and/or storage requirements and on deficiencies In existing storm sewer network system. PROJECT BACKGROUND Associated Engineering has been involved in the design and construction of the Coquitlam River Dyking Project from the onset. _ This includes work in the vicinity of Maple Creek and the Maple Creek Floodbox. With the numerous dyking projects that Associated Engineering has been involved with many internal drainage concerns have been addressed. This includes the East Slough drainage in Port Coquitlam and Fenton Slough in Pitt Meadows. Associated Engineering is familiar W h the hydrology and runoff in Port Coquitlam and flow rates In the Cc itlam River. ASSOCIATED ENGINEERING
