Rezoning Application 52/92 Planning and Development Committee - January 25, 1994 RECOMMENDATION = That Council approve an extension of Rezoning Application 52/92 for a period of one year, commencing October 5, 1993, subject to the provisions of the "Development Procedures Bylaw, 1987, No. 2243". BACKGROUND DISCUSSION: The subject application is for the rezoning of a site along Fort Fraser Rise from RM-2 (Low Density Apartment) to RS-1 (Large Lot Residential) in order to enable the creation of 24 Single Family Lots. The Zoning Amendment Bylaw for this application, No. 2719, received Third Reading on October 5, 1992. Section 6 (a) of "Development Procedures Bylaw, 1987, No. 2243" states that any Rylaw not adopted by Council within one year from the date the proposed Bylaw was given Third Reading, shall not be considered for adoption unless Council extends the time for consideration of adoption for a period of up to one year from the intitial one year period and an additional fee... is paid." The applicant has submitted the attached letter indicating his intent to complete the Rezoning Application and his request for an extension.
