Moved by Alderman Keryluk: Seconded by Alderman Traboulay: That with reference to Item (b) outlined in the Port Coquitlam & District Hunting & Fishing Club's letter of Merch 10th, 1980 the City obtain the solicitor's advice on instituting an actual boycott by the City of companies extracting gravel products from along the Coquitlam River; and the advisability of breaking an existing City contract with a polluting company; AND THAT a report be prepared by the Administration on the costs of using alternate suppliers of gravel products advising of the problems which may be involved. Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That a letter be written to the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum Resources requesting that the blatant dumping of waste products into the Coquitlam River be stopped and that offenders be prosecuted.
