RE: CURBSIDE NEWSPAPER COLLECTION SERVICE INTERNATIONAL
PAPER INOUSTRIES LTD. |

The District of North Vancouver has contracted
with International Paper Industries Ltd. (I.P.1.) for the
collection of newspaper for recycling from Single family
residences within the District. This curbside collection
Service is provided on the same schedule as the District's
residential garbage collection service. In addition, I.P.I.
has extended their newspaper collection to include multi-
family residential Properties on the basis of a schedule
arranged directly with the Property managers,

of course, been some Problems and complaints concerning missed
pickups but in all cases these have been attributable either

to [PI's initial unfamiliarity with the District's collection
routes or to mechanical failures of their collection vehicles.
In either event IPI has been quick to respond to complaints and

has made every effort to collect any missed pickups.

| In summary, IPI is Providing an effective and papular
Curbside newspaper collection service to the residents of the
District. Their attitude and their dealings with District staff °
have been most co-operative and they respond quickly and positively
