Comm. re LU From the Planning & Zoning Commiitee, September 4th, 1975, advising Policy- McLean Ave S. that at its August 28th, 1975 meeting the Committee concluded that in view of eatablished Industrial use to the North side of McLean Avenue, Light Industrial (M-3) would be desirable on the South side if an adequate buffer can be provided to protect the adjacent residential area. Moved by Alderman Thompsen: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That as recommended in a report from the Planning & Zoning Committee, September 4th, 1975, the following land use policy be approved for McLean Avenue South: 1. Area outlined on the sketch submitted with the said report be designated for future industrial development. 2. A suitable buffer be established between residential and industrial use as shown on the sketch referred to in Item 1 above, oe Carried. 1 Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution, Alderman Laking agreed to the suggestion of Alderman Mabbett to add some evergreens to the natural deciduous tree growth in the Proposed buffer strip. Alderman Ranger stated his concern with respect to traffic problems that may be created; however, Alderman Thompson pointed out that the proposed widening of McLean Avenue will alleviate that substantially. ” Plan.& Zon.
