Request that Bylaw Department do periodic checks to see if vehicles are parked within the 6 metres of the approach side to the Crosswalk at Citadel and Kensington. Background & Comments: Attached are two memos from the Project/Traffic Technician dated July 12, 1990, regarding a request for improvements to Western Drive and also regarding a request for parking restrictions adjacent to the crosswalk on Citadel and Kensington. Also attached is a memo from the Project/Traffic Technician dated August) 31, 1990 Tegarding a warrant criteria for marked crosswalk installation. The crosswalk requested at Western and Lamprey does not appear to be warranted because: a. Western and Lamprey is a Tee intersecrion and the proposed crosswalk at the western side of Western Drive would start in the middle of the block. Drivers going south along Western may not expect to see pedestrians crossing at this location. There would not be a sthool patrol to assist school children utilizing the Proposed crosswalk.
