RE: Servicing Requirements D. Ramsay Subdivision Coast Meridian and Kingsway

Further to your letter of May 28, 1990, regarding cost sharing of
the storm sewer works on Coast Meridian, I can advise that, while Council was
in agreement with the principle of cost sharing, they were not prepared to
contribute the requested 71.5 percent . This is due, in large part, to the
fact that Drainage DCC’s applicable in the area have not been updated for
several years, with the result that funds available in the SCC reserve fund
are inadequate to support the full cost sharing you have suggested.

_, Council is prepared to contribute up to $200,000 in addition to
waiving the collection of drainage DCC'’s. By your calculation of the latter,
this results in a total City contribution of approximately 50 per cent of the”
cost of the storm sewer. . oo oo -

_ Would you please discuss this offer with your client and advise the -
City whether this is aceptable. 4s previously discussed, we will ‘require
cenceptual servicing plans and cost estimates before we can process the
subdivision application further. I am also wondering whether you have sought
approval from the Ministry of Highways. Since they are in the process of: .
evaluating alternatives for widening of the Mary. Hill “Bypass, I would.
anticipate that they will need some additional road allowance. -
