Freeman, City Clerk RE: Sale of Property - Former highway allowance Most members of Council will recall that on August 6, 1973 the City's Industrial and Community Development Committee recommended that a portion of McKenzie Avenue (an unused road allowance extending west from Pitt River Road in the 1400 block) be sold to Mr. John Kerr, 1428 Pitt River Road, the owner of the adjacent property for the sum of $2,506.00. The necessary Road Closure By~law was passed by the Council on November 5, 1973 and title to the property has been vested in the City of Port Coquitlam. As required by the Municipal Act we posted a notice on the City Hall bulletin board on February 18,1974 inviting the submission of alternate proposals and at the closing time for receipt of these proposals (12 o'clock noon Wednesday, February 27th, 1974) no such proposals had been received. Should the Council now wish to follow through and formally transfer title in the property to Mr. Kerr the following resolution could be passed: "That Parcel "D" (By-law Plan 45067) Block 14, District Lot 232, Group 1, Plan 1932, New Westminster District be sold to Mr. John Kerr, 1428 Pitt River Road, Port Coquitlam, B.C. at or for the sum of Two thousand five hundred ($2,500.00) Dollars; AND THAT His Worship the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute the necessary Deed of Land therefor and affix the Corporate Seal thereto."
