Jean-Guy Dallaire est né en 1943 a
Saint-Isidore, Québec. Il poursuit
ses études au Northern Alberta
Institute of Photographic
Technology. Aprés une longue car-
riére comme photographe, il démé-
nage a Vancouver en 1978 et com-
mence son travail en sculpture.
M. Dallaire a exposé au Madison
Square Gardens et Artexpo’84 4
New York. En 1986, il commence a
enseigner dans les colléges et les
écoles de Vancouver, puis il organise
des ateliers pour faire connaitre le
«Sahara Foam» un matériau nou-
veau pour la sculpture ainsi que les
nouvelles techniques qu’il a
maitrisées.

Jean-Guy Dallaire was born in
Saint-Isidore, Quebec, in 1943. He
studied at the Northem Alberta
Institute of Technology. After a long
career as a photographer, he moved
to Vancouver in 1978 and began a
career in sculpture. His numerous
exhibitions include those at Madison
Square Gardens and Artexpo’ 84 in
New York. In 1986, he began to teach
in Vancouver schools and colleges
and later organized some interna-
tional workshops held at the
University of British Columbia.
Some of his work can be found in
private collections in Europe and
Canada.
