CHEDDAR CHEESE SCROLLS

4/2 of a (411 9) pkg frozen puff pastry,
thawed but cold

2 Tbsp {30 m1) butter, melted, cooled

1 cup (250 mL} shredded CANADIAN
CHEDDAR CHEESE

1/4 cup (50 mL) hot banana peppers.
finely chopped (optional)

On lightly floured board, rall pastry into 20]
x B-inch (50 x 20 cm) rectangle. Brush with
butter. Sprinkle cheese evenly aver dough:
top with banana peppers. if used. Roll each
short end of the dough toward the centre
until both rolls touch and shape of dough
4 resembles a closed scroll. Gently press rolls
together. Chill 1 hour. Cut chilled roils into
24 slices. Place slices on greased baking
sheets. Bake 1 dozen at a time in 400°F
(200°C) oven 15 ta 20 min or until puffed
and golden. Remove from sheets immedi-
ately. Cool on wire racks.
