side of the field to pick up the drainage off the field and carry it
to the ditch. The other problem is that the surface of the field itself
has dips which serve to pond some of the water which consequently leaves
parts of the field in a wet condition.

This Park has not yet been taken over by the City and the
corrections to the drainage are the responsibility of Nu-West Developments.
Nevertheless, the Committee feels the Council should be aware of the pro~
blem because it will result in a delay in the use of this field for soccer.
As it is too late now to correct the problem and still to have a good grass
surface for next year, it will mean that this field will likely not be ready
for use in the fall of 1979.
