THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM MEMORANDUM B.R. Kirk DATE: January 22, 1987 City Administrator W. Brown Director of Community Planning Development Variance Permit Marian Kroeker Park RECOMMENDATION: That City Council direct the Clerk's Office to proceed to notify residents of the requested variance: for Lot B, DL 232, Plan 70646, NWLD Relaxation of Section 26, Subsection (7) Rear Yard and Section 12, Subsection (2)(¢)(i) location of Accessory Buildings in Residential Zones to permit a woodshed to remain in place after subdivision of the Kroeker residence from the park jis completed, This relaxation is subject to a Restrictive Covenant being registered, requiring removal or relocation of the woodshed during the next year. COMMENTS: In subdividing the new park from the Kroeker residence. A lot line and future road passes beside their woodshed, Zoning Bylaw regulations do not permit a building to be located this close to a street, Consequently, this Development Variance ‘is being proposed to accommodate the situation to permit completion of the subdivision and permit the Kroekers additional time to relocate their wood shed. The reasoning for imposing a Restrictive Covenant to limit the length of time the woodshed can remain in its persent location is to meet requirements for subdivision and to provide some protection for the City.
