Deputy City Engineer 30 KM/H SPEED ZONE - TYNER STREET (Public Works Commitice - November 3, 1992) RECOMMENDATION: 1) That Council authorize the instailation of 30 km/h speed signs on Tyner between Kingsway Ave. to Pitt River Road in order to make the speed limit consistent for this length of Tyner. 2) That no further parking restrictions be implement on Tyner at this time. BACKGROUND & COMMENTS: The original report regarding 30 km/h speed zone on Tyner Street was submitted to Council at its regular meeting held October 5, 1992 and was referred back to Public Works Committee for further review. The question concerming the posting of the speed sign in conjunction with the school sign was raised. Accordingly it is recommended that the speed sign be posted separately. In addition, a further review of parking restrictions was done. Attached is a memorandum from the Project Technician dated November 3, 1992 addressing these issues.
