September 25, 1989/199 Mr. K. Rigby~Jones, 1815 Taylor Street, Port Coquitlam, is opposed to the proposed rezoning for reasons previously stated and would like to emphasize his concern for the small children playing in an area where large trucks will be. Mr. J. Muir, 124 April Road, Port Moody, representing the Applicant, advised that the preferred choice for this property was single family development, however, the Planning Department wanted it to be designated Industrial. Four lots were created to break up the size of the buildings to reduce the visual impact on the single family homes in the area. Mrs. E. Allan, 1931 Taylor Street, Port Coquitlam, felt that Council should consider that the property is already zoned Residential, that this was the preferred choice of the Developer and the assumption of the local residents. "Why not leave it in its current zone?", he asked. Bylaw No. 2455 ~ to rezone: Lot 1 Block C District Lot 479; Group One Plan 2006 New Westminster District from RS-1 (Large Lot Residential) to RT1 (Two-Family Residential). The property is located at 1788 Salisbury Avenue and would permit the redevelopment of the property as a duplex. Mr. I. Wotherspoon, 1818 Salisbury Avenue, Port Coquitlam is opposed to the proposed duplex. He stated he had bought into a single family area and would like to see it remain that Way.
