Gallery of 6.C. Ceramics 1359 Cartwright 3. Granville Island Vancouver BC, Canada (604) 669-3645 VO IR? This past December was yet again a record-breaking month for sales in the Gallery, and I thank all of you involved for your patience and assistance at such a busy time. At the December jurying, Laurie Rolland was accepted as a new Gallery seller, and we welcome her. January is our annual 20% off sale, for most of the work, and our regular hours are 10:30 - 5:30 pm, Tuesday through Sunday. In February, we take part in Design Vancouver's annual city-wide event, by featuring “Design for the Table”. table ware designed and made by a number of our regular Gallery members. We invite everyone to visit, February 5th through 25th. Coralie Triance, Manager The Jurying Committee for the Gallery reports that in the month ahead they will be focussing on several tasks at hand. While a decision has already been made that jurying will take place three times a year, rather than the previous six, the Committee will determine dates for this jurying as soon as possible. Atthe same time, they intend to develop a mechanism for the annual “rejurying” of the Gallery, the sole purpose of such “rejurying” being the ongoing revitali- zation of the Gallery. It suffers from chronic lack of storage space, and hopefully, something can be done to ease this, This “housekeeping” ts proposed to be done during the present month of January. The jury itself hopes to do some self-rejuvenation, in the form of rotation or changes in jury membership, as well. If there are any questions, do not hesitate to get in touch with Coralie Triance at the Gallery, or D'Arcy Margesson, Gallery Committee Chairman. The Board of Directors of the Potters Guild of B.C. has announced the selection of an appli- cant for residence in the Studio 5 space at 1359 Cartwright. Friederike Rahn, a former student at the Nova Scotia School of Art and Design, will shortly begin to work in that space oecupied this past year by Philip Robbins.
