The Chief Bylaw Enforcement Officer has had a number of complaints regarding 4
lack of signage on private parking lots, as well a6 exorbitant and
inconsistent rates being charged by towing companies. The additions of
Section 405 to 409 will provide for adequate signa which are conspicuoualy
posted within private parking lots. These amendments also provide a maximum

fee that can be charged by a towing company.

Under the present Division Four - Impounding Provisions the Bylaw Enforcement
Officer is not authorized to impound vehicles. This is a housekeeping
amendment, which will keep the Bylaw up to date with current practices.
