COQUITLAM AND DISTRICT SAFETY COUNCIL. 720 Poirier Street, Coquitlam, B. C., V3J 637, April 24, 1978. Mayor Jack Campoell, Port Coquitlan City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, 3. C., V3C 2a8. Dear Mayor Campbell; The Coquitlar .nd District Safety Counsil would like to plan a dinner to THANK the Co-ordinators of the Block Parent Program of Coquitlan, Port Coquitlam, and Port Moody. Over the past 2 years these Co-ordinators have Worked very hard to have the "Block Parent Progran" one of the very best in B. C. We have over 2200 Block Parent homes in our 3 Districts, which covers all the schools except 3, which we hope will join the program before the school tern ends, Whenever the Safety Council needs help at displays, where the Block Parent Progran is Promoted, such as the Coquitlam and District Safety Display last Cctober at Westwood Mall and already have volun- teered to help at the Police Display this May 15 - 20, 1978 at Lough- eed Mall, Sone of the Co-ordinators have a&lso got their Block Parents to Promote the Neighbourhood watch Program in their school area, As the Coquitlam and District Safety Council would have never been able to get the Block Parent Program off the ground without the help of these Co-ordinators, we would like to have a dinner to show: our appreciation and Thank You not only for the Safety Council but for all the residents of Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, and Port Moody as we Rope it has made our Districts a safer place for our children and 4ll of us to live. - As the Coquitlam and District Safety Council is strictly a volun- teer association, our funds are very limited, we would like to re- quest from Port Coquitlam Council a donation of $100.00 to enable us to have this dinner early in June(possibly June 5, 1978), ve) We would appreciate your very prompt reply as time is very short. TRANK YOU again for all your help and support you have always given us in the past and hope you will ccrtinue to do 806 Sincerely ow ofl. Mrs. Jean Lomax, Secretary, 939-3 Ho cc.
