Recommendation

That the City Council adopt in principle, the 1990 Parks, Recreation &
Cultural Plan.

Background & Comments

The 1990 Parks, Recreation & Cultural Plan was presented to City Council April 28,
1990, At this time Council received the report.

This year’s Parks & Recreation Committee would like City Council to adopt the
Master Plan, in principle. By adopting the plan in principle it would give some
concrete direction for both the Parks & Recreation Department and the Parks &

Recreation Committee,

The Parks & Recreation Department would then be able to focus in on certain issues
and bring back concrete recommendations to City Council.

Attached is the Executive Summary of the Master Plan which highlights the main
points.
