ne i <= GYUNC OCT 18 1976 TO Mayor and Council: October 4th, 1976 FROM: Alderman M.A. Thompson The dissolution of the Dyking District presents us with an opportunity to formulate a more equitable method of taxation for acquiring funds for Dyking maintenance. In light of the fact that surface water removal and its disposition is a responsibility of all members of the community and not limited to those who live in the lower area accepting water from the more elevated areas. I would move that the Finance Committee be charged with the responsibility of investigating and bringing forth recommendations that -would do away with the present form of Dyking Tax and make proposals for a more equitable method of cost sharing within the community together with information as to anticipated costs of the new maintenance programme.
