Pe Sirgbet2 Item fl; Letter frou Port Coquitlam Marlin Swim Club: A letter was recefved from the Port Coquitlan Marlin Swim Club requesting frea use of the pools during “Slack Time". ("Slack Time" {s defined as before 9:30 alm. and after 12:00 p.e.). The Swim Club wishin ty use the pool from 7:00 a.m. untsl 8:00 a.m. and ‘from 5:00 p.m. te 6:90 p.m. daily from pool opening until sehuol Closing in June. After schvol closing they wish the pools from 7:00 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. end et acan for the juafor training programme. Recommendation: ‘ ee 1. That locel Svim Clubs, organized in the City of Pore Coquitlas with a mewberahip not less than eighty Percent Port Coquitlam residents be permitted to use the City Swimming Pools free of charge during “Slack Tines” end that a rercal fea of «ight dollare per hour be charged for "Prine Times, 2. That the Port Coquitlam Marlin Swim Club be given free use of the poole during the Supper Period (5:00 - 6:00 p.m.) as. this period 1¢ not used. item #2: Report Regarding the Covering of Centennial Poo! 3 (For Information) Mr. Borch showed and explained to che Committee the Latest plens Sor the Centennial Pool Construction, Rather than alucinen truases, the plans call for steel construction and the exterior would: look auch like the Port Recreation Centre. Mr. Borch outlined the construction and explained it was changed slightly for economical reasons and because the trusses are prefab, the building would be constructed quicker. The working drawings should be receled on March 25th, the tenders would be called for on April 4th and the contrace wlll be awarded by April 18th. This will leave six weeks for conpletion of the building. The work will be divided {into four (b) _Hechanical Installation; (c) Structural Construction end (4) Electrical Although parts: (a) Cenoral site work; Work.
