Carried. NEW BUSINESS: Alderman Muldoon expressed congratulations to Recreation Director K.J. Taylor upon her receipt of the Recreation Society of B.C.'s "Citation Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Field". . | Alderman Mabbett advised receipt of complaints regarding the change of use of the Barberry Personal Care Home. Moved by Alderman Mabbett: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That the Simon Fraser Health Unit be advised of the concerns regarding the change of use of the Barberry Personal Care Home. Carried. Alderman Mabbett referred to the three City owned houses on Mary Hill Road which are presently on the new library site and asked that they be assessed to see if there is a possibility they could be moved to another site. Alderman Leaking gave a report on the trip to Bellingham's new incineration plant site. Alderman Gates advised receipt of complaints from the residents of Meridian Village regarding the size of the garbage container and asked that a letter be written to the G.V.R.D. advising them of the problem.
