RCMP are asking for the assis-
tance of the general public in
tracking down two men suspected
of beating and raping a Prince

- Rupert woman Sept. 9.

Police say the woman walking
along Highway 16 in Terrace in
the early morning hours of Sunday,
Sept. 9, when she was picked up
by two men in what they describe
as a dark blue, older model import
car, a two-door vehicle with bucket
seats. The two men drove to a
point 90 kilometres west of Ter-
race, in the vicinity of Tyee, and
then beat and sexually assaulted
the woman.

The 35-year-old woman was
treated and released from Prince

- Rupert hospital.

‘The first suspect in the case is
described. by police as a white
‘male, 20-30 years of age, with
short brown hair cropped at the
