a trip to Salt-Spring Island on
the new old ferry, or as it turns

surrounding area awarded bur-
saries of $50 in support of their

Miss Takako Rose Murakami,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Mura~
kami, Ganges, leaves shortly for
Montreal, where she will study
at McGill University.

The former Ganges girl is
among 17 across Canada to be
awatded post-graduate grants by
the Canaditin Nurse's Foundation.
Miss Murakami receiveda $2, 000
scholarship.

Miss Murakami is a graduate
of the Vancouver General Hos-
pital of Nursing; she received
her bachelor’s degree from
U.B.C. She has been teaching
nursing in Vancouver for the
past four years,
