The cheques were ail cashed in Prince Rupert, Terrace, and Smithers during the last few days. of March, Banks and businessmen throughout Nurthern B.C, are being alerted tu watch curefully all cheques bearing the Alcan symbol before cashing them, . R.C.M.P. Officers are investigating. Identifying marks on the 31° forgeries located are: 1. All Kitimat, were drawn on the Royal Bank ot Canada, B.C. (Printed on the face of the cheque). 2. Reid, which is normally stamped on the cheque face by machine, has been copied with ball point pen on the forgeries.
