Mr. Clutesi is a man -very
much in demand these days but
it was interesting to note how
he took time to talk with aware-
ness to each person who. came

business man, to each in turn he

is a measure of the man that the

.down for a few minutes. and voic-

feels that this separation was the

between Indian children and na thelr
parents.

Mrs. Fred J. Baker of Sidney,

celebrated their 60th wedding -

Mr. Baker came to Canada in
1903. from his native London,
England. “He married Miss
Gertrude Parson in Winnipeg on
May 3, 1909. In 1926 the family
came to Victoria and a fewyears
later. moved to Sidney. where
they have resided for 37 years.

Mr. Baker ‘was.a. Justice of,

the Peace for British Columbia
for. 33. years and junior court
judge in North Saanich and Sid-
ney for 25 years. He has been
active on the board cf St. An-
drew’s Church for 20 years and

a member of the North Saanich”
