Your Worship: Re: Letters of Appreciation Recently we have had assistance from four citizens of the City of Port Coquitlam. I am pleased to enclose copies of the letters we have sent to them expressing our appreciation. Mr. Leanard and Mr. Kurkowsky apprehended a wanted person on 26th February, 1974 at 2444 Wilson Avenue. We were informed of a wanted person for a number of offences across Canada was living at this address. When the police members went to his suite, he tried to escape by jumping off a balcony. He was apprehended while running from the location and turned over to the police. Mr. Adams. and Mr. Irwin arrested a male purse snatcher when a lady friend of theirs complained to them. She had her purse snatched from her on Shaughnessy Street on 18th March, 1974 at midnight. The men went to the downtown area and witnesses a man with her purse. They gave chase and captured the suspect in a alleyway. He was turned over to the police. Investigation resulted in the suspect admitting this and five other purse snatching crimes on the streets of Port Coquitlam. I can only say that with this type of co-operation by citizens of our community, our task of law enforcement is made more efficient.
