Exhibit Proposal Guidelines
Deadline for 1996 proposal submissions; September 30, 1995

|Prepesal to ineliyde:
1) 6 to 10 slides or photographs which show quality and range of work intended — for exhibit

2) biography (resume) and statement about your work
3) description of work to be exhibited (process, date, price range, dimensions and # of pieces)

4) title and short paragraph describing exhibit for advertising purposes

- exhibiting artist or association must be a member in good standing of the Potters Guild of British Columbia
- all work exhibited must be for sale (unless prior arrangements have been made with and at the discretion of the Gallery
Cammittes)
~ all work must date no eariier than January 1 of the preceding year
|- the artist receives 50% of the retail price
~ duration of the exhibit is approximately one month
- set up of the exhibit is by the artist with assistance from Gallery staff
- the exhiba should be dismantled and unsold work removed as soon as exhibit closes
= the artist is encouraged to attend the exhibit opening with the option of giving a short talk about their work - opening recestions
will take place on a week night
- the gallary wail is painted every two to four months given the exhibit content for that time pened - the colour is determined by the
Gallery Manager in consultation with exhibiting artists
- Financial Requirements:
- costs of the opening will be shared with the artist - any costs over normal Gallery opening expenses will be billed directl
to the artist
- artist will receive and be billed for 50% of the exhibit invitations
- all shipping costs to and from the Gallery will be the responsibility of the artist
