It is characterized by the voluntary nature of its use and its - - informality. It. is organized. to. serve the public reading tastes from: pre-school to old age. The “whole. spectrum of ‘human. |in-. terests should find a place in the Public Library. It’s function is to “provide recreation, education and information to all who want’ it, whenever they want it. It is in the truest sense of public service. -Aschool library has the unique role of serving. the. instructional needs of a limited clientele — teachers and students.
