Jean Cumming, wife of North Saanich mayor, Jim Cumming, says she enjoys being a mayor’s wife and lists as one of .the rewards the opportunity she has of meeting fascinating people. “For instance, she said, ‘‘we really enjoyed the marvellous dinner that we attended for the canoe voyageurs. It was so in- teresting being able to talk with them and hear of their travels.”’ Mrs.. Cumming came to the ‘Peninsula in 1943 where; as a member of the R.C.A\F. she was posited to Patricia.
