Navy plans its role in search and rescue operations. _ -- Alderman Fred Robinson has. displayed a surprising - lack of understanding of the situation. — The dedication of the Canadian Forces personnel who untertake search and rescue missions — often in. ex- tremely dangerous © circumstances — is not open to question. _ With the men and equipment available, there is no doubt that this important rescue organization is doing the best possibile job. However, ex- cessive. student absenteeism. is not a problem in the secondary schools of Saanich-: School District. ‘A recent survey indicated that the normal. daily absentee rate for the junior. secondary schools in Saanich was a modest six to seven per cent while the senior. secondary records a twelve per cent absentee rate. Interestingly, many large industrial and commercial organizations ex- perience higher rates of em- ployee absenteeism. Since 1912: FUNERAL CHAPEL _OF ROSES hk. G. (Greg) Lonsdale.
