Throughout the years awards have been given for scholarships but nothing to benefit the people of the district as a whole or to make any impression’ on the public from whom the ROTARY ANNS raise funds by their annual Bake Sales and Raffles .... it was therefore decided this year to make a change and it. was suggested that something be done for members of. the Volunteer Fire Brigade. _ When ‘approached as to what “.was ‘most needed they were reluctant. to mention . anything that would be too costly for the Rotary Anns to handle. After receiving a list of various pieces of equipment and the prices it was finally decided to purchase the Flynn Ventalator (for oxygen therapy) at a cost of $275.00 plus $13.75 tax .... the ladies agreed _to: go for broke and use some money in another fund to. pur- chase this much-needed ‘equip- ment which would be of benefit to all in an emergency. .
