Bill McAuley, Dennis Varga and George Howard, the latter taking the chair in the absence’ of president. Harry Mason whose resignation was accepted with regret. — ’ The meeting. opened .with a short review concerning the events leading to the formation of the Association and it’s in- corporation as .a non-profit organization with the Registrar of Companies in B.C. It was recalled that in 1971 a questionnaire prepared and distributed: by Jim Wakefield produced. over 700 responses from people residing in the Saanich Peninsula. In contrast, membership in the Association now stands slightly in excess of 300. First matter resolved was the decision adopted by those present for Sidney Bowling Association to join the British. Columbia Five Pin Bowling Association, which body is a member of the Canada wide Canadian Bowling ‘Congress. It will be from the B.C. This past Sunday a group of riders packed. their lunch and went off on a trail ride. A good time was had by everyone and it is likely that more will be held through the winter months. Sure hope a certain mother comes up with more ‘chicken legs’. Coming up soon on the agenda is a competitive trail ride. It is hoped. that it will give our members some experience in a competition that is becoming very popular and a lot of fun.
