Guide Spring Festival Tea and Bazaar, held on March 21 inthe Margaret Vaughan-Birch Hall. Colors were carried by the 1st Sidney Guide Company. Lovely Spring nosegays made by Mrs. E. Robinson, Guide Captain, were presented by Brownies to Mrs. Dear, Mrs. J. Baldock, Divisional Commissioner, Mrs. I.. Macrae, District Commissioner, and Mrs. R.- Moffoot, president of the Mothers Group. Spring .flowers. arranged by Mrs. ‘D.° Lincoln’ graced. each table. A: good crowd was present Mrs. and Guides and mothers. were — kept busy during. the afternoon. Officials thanked all who came to make the sale a great success. A total of. $402.50 - was realized toward the cost of the new. Guide- Scout. Hall. Most of the han- dicrafts were sold, but there are still a few cook books left. Given in marriage by -her father, the bride was a beautiful picture in her gown of. Swiss guipure lace over lagoda, with empire waist, soft folds from the shoulders at the back, full-length sleeves, and accented with pink satin ribbon at the neckline, bodice and cuffs. Her headdress was a matching pillbox with chapel-length veil in layers. of pink and white. She carried a bouquet’ of pink roses, white freesia, and edged with heart- shaped white satin ribbon. The bride was attended by her cousin, Miss Loraine Taylor as maid of. honor; © Mrs. Horn, sister-in-law of the groom as bridesmatron, and Miss Gwen Jones as bridesmaid.
