Instead of hiring a truck or bribing your local garbage hauler to take extra items, residents can haul rubbish to the curb for pickup between March 12 and 21. But there are restrictions on what crews will pick up. No household garbage will be taken, nor will building rubble, rocks, stumps or large piles of brush or branches. Gil Gilmore, who recently retired from the department, was made a life member to recognize 16 years of service.
