NUNN - HAROLD “AMOS” Edward,
born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on Octo-
ber 4, 1906, passed peacefully into the
presence of the Lord on December 1,
1991, aged 85.

A resident of North Saanich since
1913, he was well known and respect-
ed for his involvement in many sports -
softball, lacrosse, soccer, fishing and
hunting, and was associated with the
North Saanich Service Club. :

His first job was laying the East
Saanich Rd. with cement. (This was the
main road to Victoria at the time). He
later worked at the Sidney Saw Mill
(then at the foot of Beacon) for several
years, and became well known in his
trade as an expert cement finisher and
a construction foreman. He served in
the Provost Corp during World War II
and was a member of the Legion #37.
He was a faithful member of Bethel
Baptist Church, serving as a Deacon for
many years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50
years, May; children Dorothy (Hugh)
Wallis, Joyce (Stan) Kayser, Jim (Mari-
on) Nunn; 9 grandchildren; brothers
Victor, Frank, ©.R. ‘Bud’; sister Flory
Gardner; and many nieces, nephews
and cousins. :

The funeral service was held on
Wednesday, December 4, 1991, at
Bethel Fellowship Baptist Church. Do-
nations may be made to Mt. Newton
Adult Daycare Centre, B.C. Parkinsons
Disease Assoc., Bethel Baptist Building
Fund. :

purpose of operation recretional fa-
cilities including campgrounds with-
in Sidney Spit and Princess Margar-
et Provincial Marine Parks.
Proposal Information:

Potential proponents are advised
that:

a) Park lands, facilities and re-
sources shall remain in the owner-
ship of the Province.

b) Any. or all proposals will not
necessarily be accepted:

c) A non-refundable deposit of
$53.50 (includes GST) is required to
purchase each proposal package.
d) Prospective bidders must attend
mandatory site inspections of the
parks. Potential proponents will
meet at Van Isle Marina, Sidney,
B.C. on Thursday, December 12th,
1991 at 9:00 aim. Packages must
be purchased prior to commence-
ment of these inspections.
