Bor in Haney, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from U.B.C. and worked in the interior of B.C. and in 4 Calgary before moving to Vancouver Island, She began ~==4 painting on the island and has been painting for almost 10 years. Most of her work is done outside, on location. Recently she has been painting on Salt Spring Island and now plans to paint Tofino on the west coast. df § THIS MISTY LANDSCAPE was created by Elizabeth Malvet of Sidney, who came to Canada in 1948 after a Childhood spent in Russia and Estonia. She married in 1938 and in 1943 was forced to flee with her family to Sweden. Originally the family settled on a farm 10 miles from Montreal but eventually moved to the west Coast. During the last 15 years, Malvet has worked more in pastels and watercolors as well as experimenting with different media.
