Opinion Rugby players The Parkland rugby team faced their toughest opponents of the year Friday night, and dressed in tights and bras in preparation. These strange wardrobes aided in the production of their highly successful Third Annual Rugby Talent Show. To the delight of the audience, players Grant Cooke, Rohan Hen- sen and Robert Clarke performed their own rendition of the Pointer Sisters’ hit tune ‘Neutron Dance,” while several other play- ers joined Nelson Martins in “The Banana Boat Song.” display talent menco dance. This dance was a memorable one; it added an inter- national flair to the evening and provided a welcome change of pace. Singing solos were Parkland’s — own Diane Pancel and Sue Black, and Jeanna Lenaghan and Katrina Lockwood also performed a duet. A few of Parkland’s teachers revealed hidden talent as well, with Ellis Whalen, Colin Ross, and Karen Bigelow (who was absent but present in spirit and taped harmony) singing as a coun- try trio, as well as rugby coach Don Burgess, who sang a few of his ukelele golden oldies.
