News Keating concepi seeks funds A proposed landscaping plan for the Keating Crossroad area has grown into an overall concept plan, with Central Saanich council seeking provincial funds to help _ develop the plan. Council has approved spending up to $30,000 to develop a concept plan for the area. The municipality hopes to obtain $15,000 through the provincial downtown revitali- zation program, provide $7,500 e and obtain the remaining $7,500 from the benefiting property owners. The municipal share is to come ~ from contingency funds. If approved, the concept plan would address streetscapes for municipal road allowances, on-site landscaping and exterior building themes in the area. The area is a mixture of light industry and retail businesses.
