EXECUTIVE MEETING NEWS: Richard Holmes and Allan Lister presented a brief to the Directors of the CAC outlining the concept plans for the replacement of Sanscha Hall. The executive was pleased to have the opportunity to hear the plans that have been made by the Memorial Park Society: it was important that the Memorial Park Society be made aware of the special role that the arts play in the community (i.e. concerts filled to capacity and readings over- attended by listeners; a successful drama group looking for a home in Sidney etc.) and that it is essential that the arts be given appropriate consideration in any planning for a retirement facility. SAANICH PENINSULA ARTS AND CRAFTS SOCIETY NEWS: Dessert Party: SPAC is replacing its annual January Tea with a dessert party to be held at the Sidney and North Saanich Yacht Club, 10775 McDonald Park Road, on January 18 at 7 p.m. The twenty-year pins will be awarded.
