‘A CHILL DIP started off the New Year of 1992 for participants

in the annual Polar Bear swim at Elk Lake. This year’s swim
starts at 2 p.m. Participants and spectators are welcome.

The 10th Tsartlip Scouts hold a bottle
drive in Central Saanich starting at 9 am.
Scouts will be calling on residents to
collect bottles or pick-up arrangements
may be made by calling 652-5063.

BOTTLE DRIVE II

Second Tsartlip Scouts hold a bottle
drive at the Scout Hall in Brentwood Bay.
Bottles may be dropped off at the Scout
Hall.

TREE DISPOSAL
Sidney and Central Saanich Lions offer a

Christmas tree disposal service Jan. 3 at
1700 Keating Crossroad. Trees may be
dropped off from 10 am until 4 pm.
Donations accepted, proceeds to be used
for community service projects.

Sidney aftemoon family caregivers meet
in the Peninsula Community Association
Building, 9751 Third Street, Sidney, from
noon to 3 pm. Anyone caring for a loved
one at home or in a facility is welcome to
attend and receive help through sharing
problems with others in similar circum-

A new camera club is being formed to
help beginners improve their photography
