Parking Agreement - 2614 Shaughnessy Street

RECOMMENDATION

That the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign the attached parking
agreement, when completed.

BACKGROUND:

On February 25, 1991, Counci]. in Committee considered an application for
parking from Poco Cabaret Limited, of 2614 Shaughnessy Street.

The Cabaret has an approved licence to operate with 225 seats; an
application to increase that number to 325 seats was rejected by Council on
March 4, 1991.

The applicant wants now to proceed with the agreement, limited to 45
parking stalls, to comply with the requirements emanating from the 225 seats
Cabaret.

DISCUSSION s

Poco Cabaret Limited has nearly completed the upgrading of their facility
at 2614 Shaughnessy Street. In order to begin the operation of the Cabaret,
with a capacity of 225 seats, they require the provision of parking, which
they cannot accommodate within their property.

The applicants have agreed with the conditions for the agreement requested
by Council ($7.50 per month per stall plus $350.00 per stall initial payment),
and this agreement has been prepared by our Solicitors.

“It is now in order for Council to authorize the Mayor and Clerk to ratify
the agreement.
