THE CORPORATION OF THR CLTY OF PORT COQUITLAM REPORT TO COUNCIL July 9, 1991 TO: BOR. Kirk, City Administrator FROM: K. Janna Taylor, Parks & Recreation Director SUBJECT: "Clematis Crescent - "Tandacaped Taland"” (Parks & Recreation Committee Meeting June 25, 1991) That no upgrade or maintenance work be done on the "Landscaped island" at Clematis Crescent this year. That monies be included in the 1992 Parks & Recreation Department's operating budget to do the upgrade of the '4gland” and to maintain the area year around. History of "Landscaped Island” on Clematis Crescent Earlier this year a petition waa received, from the residents who live on Clematis Crescent, about the condition of the landscaping and maintenance of the ‘island ia front of theic homes. The Parks & Recreation Department was not aware that thie 'igland" existed and it was not on the list of areas to be looked after. | Therefore, a request was made of che Engineering Department aa to how. the "igland’* came into heing. The report from the Deputy Engineer indicated that the developer did not submit a landscape plan to the Parka & Recreation Department for approval. Therefore, the Department had no knowledge of the existence of such a Landscaped "island". However, it is reasonable for the residents to expect a certain level of maintenance. weed
