TERRACE — The Kermode -{ Friendship Centre has received the city’s support on their ‘re- quest for ‘enhanced’? funding ‘of the Aboriginal Friendship Centre Programme. The center originally requested an increase in funding from the federal Secretary of State in March, 1986, but so far Kermode’s ex- ecutive director, Sarah Bevan, says. they haven’t received a definite reply.’ All they have been told, she says, is . that “funding for the 1988-89 fiscal period will remain at last year’s level ‘‘pending consideration of. recommendations: ‘for . creases’...
