CRIMINAL CODE (Traffic) 26 PARKING VIOLATIONS o _ GENERAL COMMENTS ON .LOCAL CRIMINAL & DRUG ACTIVITIES During the month of Hovember, 1974, a total of 14 persons were charged with offences under the Narcotic Control and Food & Drugs Acts, - : : : ‘The month of November also saw the conclusion of a drug operation between members from our office and Vancouver R.C.M.P. Drug’ Sqr, This operation resulted in the arrest of two well known drug traffickers living in the Coquitlam area, Major crime during the month of November: (a) 17 Nov 74°. Robbery with violence of the Manager, Dungeon Cabaret, Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam. Robbery committed by three Males, while Manager was delivering money to bank. Persons responsible have not been apprehended. — 21 NOV 74 ~ Attempted murder of Graham ALEXANDER, at 1067 Ridgeway, Coquitlam. Victim shot twice, and has ‘since been released. fron hospital. Aduit male has been charged with this offence and is presently before the Courts. , 24 NOV 74 ~ Murder of John LOUIE, Proprietor of Como Lake Grocery, 1116 Como Lake Avenue, Coquitlam. LOUIE shot twice during robbery of his store and died a short while later in hospital. This matter is being actively investigated. 27 NOV 74 ~ Armed robbery of the Mini-Mart Grocery, 515 Cottonwood, by a lone male armed with a handgun. Person -Tesponsible not apprehended to date, but believed to be Same person who robbed the Ernie's Take Home Chicken, 606 Clarke Road, in October, 1974, Breaking and enterings and theft fron automobiles continue to be a major problem, In order to combat this, a special detail of five policemen has been organized to concentrate on this _problen.
