REPORT TO: Mayor and Council May 2nd, 1975 FROM: L.D. Pollock q City Administrator ! MAY = 5 i875 Re: Municipal Officers' Conference We have been advised that the Municipal Officers’ Association of B.C. Conference will be held in Kelowna, May 28th to 30th, 1975. Mr. Freeman, Mr. Forcier and myself usually attend this Conference and I would ask that Council approve our attendance and that expenses be paid. Details of the Conference are attached for Council's information. Re: Royal Bank Building Project The Reyal Bank have submitted plans for a new building on the corner of Shaughnessy and McAllister and these are being processed at the present time. They are short seven parking spaces and have asked the City to enter into an arrangement to lease them parking in a City-owned parking lot to meet the By~law requirements. The most recent arrangements made by the City for parking was with Lincoln Projects Ltd. for their building at Shaughnessy and Whyte. At that time Council set a rate of $300.00 per stall as a down-payment for the parking spaces plus $7.00 per month for rental. The Royal Bank are prepared to. enter into a similar agreement subject to Council approval and have agreed that if the parking spaces are provided by the City, they could be in an adjacent City-owned lot and would not necessarily need to be designated for Royal Bank Parking. These were the arrangements agreed to with other owners in the downtown. If Council will agree with these arrangements for the Royal Bank, we will proceed with an agreement for Council's approval.
