SUBJECT: Lions Park Changerooms

Recommendation

1. That an additional $9,000 be taken from the park
D.C.C. interest to meet the tendered price of $33,808.

20 That Expand Construction be awarded the contract to do
the Lions Park changerooms.

Background & Comments

Earlier this year City Council approved $25,000 for renovations to
the Lions Park changerooms. We have just completed the tendering
process and the costs have come in somewhat higher than initially
estimated. Part of the increase is due to the fact that the job is
small and not many companies wish to do such a project and also
construction costs have risen significantly in the past six months.
Attached for Council's information are the two tenders and the
recommendation from the Purchasing Manager.
